Virgilio C. Andaya, Ph.D.

Dr. Andaya is the Director of Plant Breeding at RES and leads the improvement of medium grain cultivars. His research interests include the integration of molecular marker technology and genomics tools with conventional breeding methods in the development of improved crops with higher yield, better quality, increased economic and nutritive value, and resistance to biotic and abiotic stresses
